Andre Babeu
(1650 - November 1, 1742)

Andre Babeu was the first of the Babeu clan to come to the New World. He was born in Lechevre, Ile Oleron, Rocherfort, Saintonge, France.

Andre was a voyageur during the 1685 - 1697 timeframe.  He had 40 acres at St Lambert in 1697 (2 acres by 20 acres) called arpents in french (see map). His neighbors were the Rousseaus, Roys, and Pouparts, Dumays and Deniau's.

17 children for Andre & Anne Roy are recorded in our Family Tree. Andre died at La Nativite, Laprarie, Quebec, Canada on November 1, 1722. His wife Anne Roy died in July 1744 in Rivieres-des-Praries, Laprairie, Quebec, Canada.
